It may be that the grip frame had some malformation that that kept the slide lock from engaging. lc9s guide rod I bought the new lc9s when it came out. mine came with the new guide rod. I did however buy galloways ss guide rod and spring set and installed it. Did the same with my original lc9 and it worked great. Not happy with the new set up for the lc9s. The YOUTUBER shows that LC9S slide is a Slide Release, not a slide lock. The problem is something really not right. He is using the Lock or what Ruger calls the Slide Hold Open as a release. Anyone with a LC9S knows it is virtually impossible to fore the Lock down. So obviously he has done something to make it work at all.
